Tafelberg Furnishers– 90 Day Comfort Exchange Policy

At Tafelberg Furnishers, we want our customers to sleep with complete peace of mind. Our 90 Day Comfort Exchange program offers you the opportunity to exchange your mattress for an alternative comfort option to ensure you achieve the quality sleep you deserve.

1. Overview

The 90 Day Comfort Exchange is an exclusive value-added service available to Tafelberg Furnishers customers. If you find your mattress too firm or too soft, you may exchange it for a different comfort level after a minimum of 14 days of use and within 90 days from the delivery date.

This program applies to the mattress only, not the base.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Comfort Exchange:

  1. You must have slept on the mattress for at least 14 days to allow your body to adjust.
  2. The mattress must be covered with a Tafelberg Furniture mattress protector, purchased on the same day as the mattress.
  3. The mattress must be clean, undamaged, and free of spills, stains, or marks.
  4. The Comfort Exchange request must be approved by a Tafelberg Furniture buyer, which may take up to 7 days.

3. Exchange Conditions

  • Only one (1) comfort exchange is permitted per original mattress purchase.
  • You may exchange the mattress for another model of equal or higher value.
  • Exchanges cannot be made for a mattress of lower value.
  • The exchange must be for the same size and length as originally purchased. (No size or length changes allowed.)

Pillows, mattress protectors and linen cannot be exchanged unless returned in their original sealed packaging.

4. Mattresses Not Eligible for Comfort Exchange

The following products do not qualify:

  • Special-size or custom-made mattresses
  • Adjustable beds, bases, or mattresses
  • Any special-order mattresses not part of the standard Tafelberg Furniture range

5. Costs Involved

  • A R400 (incl. VAT) steam-cleaning fee will be charged to the customer for all returned mattresses.
  • A second delivery fee will be charged for delivering the replacement mattress.

6. After the Exchange

Returned mattresses that meet the criteria will be:

  • Steam-cleaned, and
  • Resold as “Comfort Exchange” items at a discounted price, or
  • Sent to a clearance centre when applicable.

No refunds are permitted under this program.
