BUYING THE IDEAL BED

Finding the right bed that fits your needs is important to ensure for a comfortable and good night's rest. Because there are so many options available, you might feel overwhelmed. The process of choosing the best mattress for you, doesn't have to be complicated - you know your body the best right?

Mattress Size

You need to decide on which size you need. Are you looking for a single, three quarter, double, queen, king or super king? Keep in mind the available room space before purchasing a bed to make sure it will fit comfortably with room to spare.

Once you have chosen the size you want, you have the option to choose a standard or extra length mattress. The extra length is a good option for people who are tall. Sleeping with your feet half of the mattress, just isn't right. The perfect size = the perfect fit.

Comfort Level

This refers to its firmness. You can choose from: soft, pillow top, plush, gentle/medium firm, firm/very firm and hard. By choosing the right comfort, you will need to consider what your sleeping position is.

For example, if you mostly sleep on your side, a softer mattress will benefit you more. If you are a back or stomach sleeper, a firm mattress would be ideal. The weight of a person also plays a role in choosing a comfort level, as well as what the max weight capacity per mattress is.

The Support

Spring vs Foam:
A spring mattress would fit back and stomach sleepers the best as they might prefer a traditional and more bouncy feel. It's more breathable, firmer and provides a more supportive feel.

For side sleepers and those struggling with joint pain, the foam support system will relieve pressure and will contour according to your body shape. It also provides superior motion isolation. Remember to ask if the mattress is able to be flipped or not.

Your Budget

After you have considered the size, the comfort level and support system, you need to decide if you are looking for just a mattress or a bed set. This will make an impact on how much you will spend.

A bed is a long, worthwhile investment, so consider your needs, cooling features, health conditions and durability and decide how much you are willing to spend.

If you're not sure which mattress will suit you best, it is always recommended to visit a store to test out the mattresses and ask the experienced salesperson any questions you have regarding the different support systems and comforts.
