TAFELBERG FURNISHERS SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITIONS T’S AND C’S
Before you enter one of our competitions be sure to read these T’c & C’s!
-The promoter of the Tafelberg Social Media Competition (referred to herein as "the competition") is Tafelberg Furniture Stores (Pty) Limited (“Tafelberg Furnishers”).
-The competition is promoted through our social media pages, including Instagram and Facebook ("the social media platforms") and the Tafelberg Furnishers website. You may obtain a copy of the rules from the Tafelberg Furnishers website.
-You agree that these rules will apply to you when you enter the competition.
- PLEASE NOTE: you are not guaranteed to win a prize and by entering the competition you merely stand a chance to win a prize.
- These rules will be interpreted and applied in terms of South African laws.
- By entering the competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these terms and conditions as interpreted by Tafelberg Furnishers, whose decision regarding any dispute in respect of the terms and conditions will be final and binding.
- The competition runs from 00h00 on (specified start date) to 23h59 (on specified end date).
- You can enter by following the given steps on how to enter per particular competition. Your entry must reach us before the closing date. Although we take all reasonable measures to receive entries, we will not be liable for any entries not reaching us in time.
- Prize: The prizes will differ from competition to competition.
Selection of winner: The winner will be selected randomly as per Tafelberg winner selection processes and applications.
-The competition is open to persons who are residents of South Africa and are in possession of a South African identity document or passport, at least 18 years of age. The winner must produce proof of identification when collecting their prize.
-The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for its cash value.
-The prize excludes any other expenses incurred by the winning participant when participating in this promotion.
-This competition is not open to the employees, directors, members, partners, agents, or consultants of Tafelberg Furnishers or any supplier of goods or services in connection with the competition, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Tafelberg Furnishers, including the participating products, their respective advertising, and promotional agencies, media and PR agencies, as well as the spouse, life partner, family members (including natural or adopted parents, children or siblings), consultants, directors, business partners and associates of such organizations and persons.
-The winner needs to collect his/her prize from their nearest branch. The winner will be required to sign a winner's declaration form and other documentation as required by law. The winner may not receive the prize if it is against the law for the winner to receive the prize.
- Any courier/delivery costs will be for the winner's account.
-Tafelberg Furnishers reserves the right to withhold any prize until it is entirely satisfied that the claimant of the Prize is the bona fide winner and reserves the right to call for such proof as it may deem necessary.
-Tafelberg Furnishers will make reasonable attempts to contact the winners through any of the social media platforms, but if any winner cannot be contacted within 3 days or does not respond to our attempt to make contact from the date of the respective draw, then Tafelberg Furnishers reserves the right to draw a new winner or award the prize to a backup winner. Prizes not claimed within 14 days shall be subject to a new draw and may be dealt with by Tafelberg Furnishers in any manner it deems fit. This process will continue until all final winners are selected and verified.
-In the event that Tafelberg Furnishers conducts any marketing activity relating to the competition, winners have the right to decline to participate in such marketing activity.
-The winner of this competition will be required to have a photo taken of themselves during the prize hand-over, but the winner may object to this request in writing, The photo will be posted on our social media pages.
- Tafelberg Furnishers may cancel or suspend the competition, or it may amend the terms and conditions or correct obvious errors. Should this happen for any reason, you will not have any rights to the competition of prize and will have no recourse against Tafelberg Furnishers or any party working in conjunction with it on the competition. The right of admission into the competition rests solely with Tafelberg Furnishers. Tafelberg Furnishers will not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by the winners in relation to the prize or the use thereof. You hereby indemnify and hold harmless Tafelberg Furnishers (including its directors, employees, members, independent contractors, agents, consultants, sub-contractors, and other representatives) from any and all direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damages suffered as a result of any action or omission relating to this competition and/or the award of any prize.
- If any tax is payable on the prize, the winner will be responsible for the tax payment.
- Any violation or attempt to violate any of the terms and conditions of the competition will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressor.
-If you are entering this competition through Facebook or Instagram, you understand and acknowledge that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. You understand that you are providing your information to Tafelberg Furnishers and not to Facebook or Instagram. The information you provide will only be used for the purpose of this promotion.
