When you put water into the drum of the Washing Machine, the lid fits in place and it will prevent water from escaping the washing machine. The air inside the drum will absorb the heat of the water and expand. When the air expands it creates pressure inside the washing machine drum. The pressure forces the detergent into & through the fabric about 100 times faster than you could by hand or machine.
Does not use electrical power as it is a hand cranked washing machine.
