You soak the Beechwood Smoke Wood Shavings in water for approximately 30 minutes, this will generate steam. This will add both moisture and heat to the smoking process, in addition, it will prolong burning time.
The key with wood shavings is to deny the wood of oxygen so that it smoulders and smokes, for a delicious smoky flavour.
